Choosing the Right Water Slide
A few things to check before you choose.
Match the Slide to the Yard
Slides need a long, open stretch of flat ground with room to spare on each side. A 16ft slide suits most neighborhood lots, while a 20ft slide wants a bigger yard. Check for low branches and overhead lines before you book, and send us your measurements if you are unsure.
Match the Slide to the Kids
The 16ft Jelly Splash and Aloha Splash are a good height for younger crowds. Older kids and teens usually want the extra climb of the 20ft Cotton Candy Falls or Dolphin Splash. If your party mixes ages, tell us and we will point you to the best fit.
Plan for Water and Power
You will need an outdoor spigot within reach of our 25ft hose, or a longer hose of your own, plus an outlet for the blower. A generator is available from our party extras if power is far away. Keep a few towels handy and pick a spot where the runoff can drain away.
Beating the Clark County Heat With a Backyard Slide
Kentucky summers get hot and sticky, and in Winchester the humidity tends to settle in right when school lets out. A water slide changes a long July afternoon in Clark County. The kids stay cool for hours, and the adults get to sit in the shade instead of loading everybody into the car.
Size is the first thing to think through. Our 16ft slides, the Jelly Splash and the Aloha Splash, work well in a typical Winchester backyard, including lots in the neighborhoods off the Bypass. If you have open ground out toward Becknerville or Ford, the 20ft Cotton Candy Falls or Dolphin Splash gives older kids more height and a bigger run. Flat, open ground is best, and our crew will look over the spot when we arrive.
Water is the other thing to plan for. A slide runs off a regular outdoor spigot, and we provide a 25ft hose. If your spigot sits farther from the setup area than that, have your own hose ready. We will show you how to get the water flowing before we leave.
A slide suits more than birthdays around here. Summer camps and Vacation Bible Schools at Clark County churches like a big finish on the last day, and end of year celebrations at Clark County Public Schools are an easy fit when the weather turns warm. If your group wants to use College Park or Lykins Park, check with Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation first, since water access and inflatable rules are up to them.
Being local helps when the forecast gets interesting. Bluegrass storms can roll in fast, and a crew based in Winchester knows how quickly a clear morning can change. Call us early if the weather looks uncertain and we will talk through your options. On a good day, though, there are few better ways to spend a Saturday in Clark County than with a slide in the yard, a cooler of Ale-8-One on the porch and a line of wet kids racing back up the ladder.
Yards around Winchester drain differently too, and a low corner can turn soggy after an afternoon of running water. Pick a spot where the runoff can head away from the patio, and our crew will help you settle on the best position before the blower goes on.

Events We Serve in Winchester
Water slides do their best work at summer birthdays in Winchester, from pool-free backyards near College Park to bigger properties out in the county. Churches book them for Vacation Bible School wrap-ups, and schools across Clark County Public Schools use them for end of year fun days when it warms up. We also see them at graduation parties for George Rogers Clark seniors, company picnics and family reunions where the cousins need something to do. Any of these can pair with a tent or tables from the same order. Family cookouts on long holiday weekends are another natural fit, especially around Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
